Thank you, very good points and need to consider again on spring. Possible motor failure by Ducati pricing would be a disaster? At the same time the Ducati sales price on spring will bring nice profit. Let’s see how nice red colour and gold Öhlins look like on spring sun

If you like the Ducati ride, you could get rid of both and get a newer Multistrada without so many issues... maybe a DVT?Nordic09 wrote:Thank you, very good points and need to consider again on spring. With Finnish tax level, bikes are very expensive. Only could see to use the Multi new sales price to correspond priced. Being KTM 1190 adv, or maybe even BMW nine T, which is completely different, but attractive since I’m not touring, and like nice bikes. SMT is the most probable option, since it ticks still all the boxes, and for occasional rides is all fun.

Re: Would you change an SMT for a 1090 Adventure
3 weeks riding with Multi, and it is actually very, very fast and has great suspension. 2up worse than smt, since passenger sits so high, at city this causes falling risk. Felt short love to bike and its looks, but it has to go on spring, and trusty SMT keeps going. SMT does not look how good bike it actually is still. No fancy settings, but it is perfect as it is.

Re: Would you change an SMT for a 1090 Adventure
Well said! Changed even KTM waterpump finally and it is good to go. Actually was interesting to drive after long time again with SMT, but it was not any kind of drop in rideability. City, smaller roads more fun and flickable. One riding mode (no abs) is perfect. Open roads and distance not so. Ok, Ducati Multi S in red might look as sexy as it gets. Well on weekend I drop the Multi oils and if any metal visible, that’s the bye bye for the Italian. KTM at 30k kms, has been completely clean from the metal.
