Cheers DaveW, Me the wife and the dog have had 2 nights of fresh snapper, and gave half to my son, he came fishing with me, and he caught the 3.8kg snapper, he and his flat mates will be gorging themselves on it tonight. After the 3 big days of Southerlies, we have a dead flat ocean, and the bigger snapper are here early. I did get a ride in on the GT on Sat morning, a trip up to Awakino tunnel then back to Urenui to get the boat ready.
Hey Aussie Dave, I've never had a days fishing where i haven't caught a good feed, worst day was mid winter where we only caught 4 Gurnard and 1 Kahwai, and about 20 damn useless spikey sand sharks.`This time of the year the big snapper come in to breed.Aussie Dave wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 11:39 pm...... what happens when the fish aren't biting....... go home via the local fish shop......... so the boss keeps thinking you are working hard to provide for the family when you go out boating.....
Mate, you live in paradise......![]()
So a good conversation is what is the single worst part. I have two good friends who have had bypass and we all agree. Waking up with the breathing tube down your throat and your arms tied down so you can’t rip it out. I had been warned, but coming out of anesthesia you don’t think rationally. How about you?Aussie Dave wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 2:42 amGreat news jjsc6...![]()
I'm pleased to hear that somebody is healing according to plan! I'm now feeling great..... the house painters are here today and I have been racing up and down stairs preparing for them with no ill effects.
I'll try asking my local GP tomorrow, but I expect he will defer to the professor's team at the big hospital (they will do the memory download from my device and hopefully give the all clear to drive).
It's amazing how everybody has something different - eg your slight skin numbness, my crazy electrical issues...
It's also amazing just how many people I have talked to admit to similar surgery for themselves or their partners........ and I was thinking I was kinda special..........
Cheers mate...... glad to hear you've graduated![]()
