Apologies if this has been done before.
Anyone upgraded brakes/pads on their 'S' or 'R' 1290? 2017 bike. Very poor brakes indeed! They work fine but the lever pull required is definitely not one finger!
Cheers.

Re: 1290 S crap brakes
G'day Terrified........I was just trawling around the forum (not much happening in the 1290GT section).....
I think you have a problem with your particular 1290S and should get onto the KTM dealer asap.
I've got a GT, and have never ridden the Adv-S......but one thing KTM are good at is fitting killer brakes.
If you have to squeeze hard, then something has gone fritz in your system.....pretty sure the techo's will reset some parameters or whatever and you'll be thrilled.......those brakes are Brembo's with Brembo pads (KTM part nos, but made by Brembo.....).
Cheers for 2018

Re: 1290 S crap brakes
I have a 2017 SD R.
The brakes are great.
I got ASV shorty levers so can only use two fingers at the most, more then enough.
I would get your brakes checked out.
