Footpegs 2017 Duke R
Finding the stock pegs very slippery. What are my options. Are the 2014 to 2016 the same as the 2017.

I installed some MFW Vario Racing Evo 2 pegs and there is no slip whatsoever. My Sidi boots slid all over the stock pegs and was driving me crazy.

Did you use the direct replacement or vario adaptors. I was thinking to maintain the stock location. I asume with the vario you would move them back or forward a bit.

I installed some aftermarket ones from MotoHooligan on my '16. It was unridable in my Aplinestars riding shoes. Found myself riding in my puma sneakers a lot.
Since I bought these I always ride in my riding shoes:

I bought the folding, but I probably should have gone with rigid. They are so grippy that if I try to lift or slide my foot at a certain angle, it folds up with it
Also the folding part seems stick out further than stock, so putting your feet right up against the frame feels odd.

I went with rizoma, you can get the adapters and plenty of choices for pegs.

Hi
I ordered the folding Motoholigan ones a few days ago. I hope they work out. If not atleast I have other choices.

I used the adapters and went down and forward like you mentioned. Must better for tall riders.JGA wrote:Did you use the direct replacement or vario adaptors. I was thinking to maintain the stock location. I asume with the vario you would move them back or forward a bit.

I got the motohooligan pegs installed last night. Went for a quick ride. Huge difference for the better. I find my shift lever is now out of adjustment quie a bit. I suppose the new pegs are slightly lower and back further.
The motohooligan pegs align with the adaptor as apposed to the stock ones that are offset what looks like forward and up.
Any one have the same results

JGA,
The Oberon are two piece and you can adjust the teeth to any angle you choose which is pretty neat idea.

Same with rizoma, those are 2-pieces which allows you to customize. You can adjust the pegs to the right angle. I know is sorta late, but if you decide to try them, you can pick from tons of different ones.

Re: Footpegs 2017 Duke R

I went for the Attack Performance rear sets as I have found them excellent and well made in the past. I stripped them back and had them black anodised along with power coating of the white & orange just to make them look more factory.

I do the old school fix -slide various sized O-rings from your plumbing supply store over the pegs- works and costs almost zero
