I've got a 2017 that has the same issue... both forks are weeping oil. I get rings on both forks after just about every ride. I'm working on getting the bike scheduled for service. Dealer sent me to KTM and KTM sent me back to the dealer. They want to look at the bike before any decision is made about warranty coverage. Bike with 2.5k miles shouldn't leak forking fork oil.

Allan, after your service do your forks still continue to weep?

Dasjefe: Sorry for the slow response about the fork oil seals. The oil weep has disappeared but the bike hasn't been ridden much in the last few months and is parked in the corner of my garage with about 9500 miles on it. After all the issues over the first year of ownership I've just lost interest in it. Its running well now however, so I think I can sell it with a clear conscience. :D

I bought a Street Triple 765RS in March and have been riding track days only since then. I'm not done with road riding however, and will be renting a bike in Northern Ireland with a friend in August, watching the Ulster GP and doing a tour around Scotland ...... just not on the SD-GT this time.

Thanks for the response. I was basically told my fork seals aren't bad enough to be covered - if I wanted a fix KTM would pay for the parts but I'd be stuck with the labor. This comes to about 230 bucks. I will probably just let it weep for a while... I can live with it unless it gets worse. Good luck if you decide to sell. I have not had any big problems, but I can understand your motivations.

Mine weeped, well more like a smear that the dust stuck to, for about 3-5000Kms, but for the last 20,000Kms they have been bone dry, i think the seals take along time to bed in.

my dampening error message started flashing Friday night on the way home. When I got home I noticed the weeping on both forks similar to the pics here. Wiped it off and didn't see anymore but havne't had a chance to ride the bike since do to the never ending rain.
Not sure if having that bit of ooze and the light going on have anything to do with each other but something is surely wrong. THe bike was barely 6 days old and this crap happens.

Ive only had the DES fault come up once, it was after a 220Km ride over fast windy and bumpy roads while being chased by 2 1290Rs, it occurred when we stopped for gas next to our accommodation, i parked it up for the night and in the morning it was gone, and never returned since.

Interesting I was hitting some nasty bumps when it came on. I wasn't being chased though :)
I'll see what tomorrow brings.

These 2 were the culprits.
