There is not a lot of margin in these but I will offer the forum members a 5% discount across the whole product range from D2D Accessories. just enter "ktmsmt2016" as a discount code at the checkout.

I am VERY interested
I read your manual and there is a portion about learning the throttle position
Are you aware that when the throttlegrip is fully open with the engine off, it only shows 20% throttle in the (for example) powercommander software ?
Is this taken in to consideration ?

Yes, the intelligent software and programming takes this into consideration. This has been designed specifically for the KTM system.

Damn, if I paid $500 less for the bike I would definitely buy this. I just can't justify spending that $500 on a feature the bike should of had standard. I already got reemed hard on the price of the bike, this would just be salt on the wound so-to-speak.
Looks like a solid product though.

Anyone install this setup yet? Comments, reviews, observations? How's the quality of the supplied wiring?
Thanks

Re: Fully Electronic Cruise Control not a throttle lock but a TRUE Cruise Control.
So i finally got the unit to perform almost perfect.
I would say it is 95% like a car cruise control.
The install is very easy, but it is the setup that can be a little tricky, and if you don't do it right you will have some surging / on-off throttle response. This however can be almost completely eliminated when you play with the settings

Glad to hear you got it sorted, there is always a few teething problems with new technology. Thanks for your perseverance . Can you please put a review on the site

Re: Fully Electronic Cruise Control not a throttle lock but a TRUE Cruise Control.
The most important thing is when you calibrate the throttle, the manual says to twist the throttle to 100%, DON*T do this, instead use between 25% and 50% throttle for best response (you might have to calibrate the throttle a few times for the cruisecontrol to be almost perfect). But that is easy and only takes a minute
There are two other settings that can be changed : INIT and GAIN.
INIT was perfect for me, and i am still playing around with GAIN

Re: Fully Electronic Cruise Control not a throttle lock but a TRUE Cruise Control.
Hi all!
FIrst, 'Martin D2D' - I'm driving an KTM 990 SMt and would really be glad to install a cruise control, as I'm doing a lot of long touring.
Is the c c available to 990 SMt (LC8 engine)? Or could the unit be 'transformed' to suit to a 990 SMt?
-
Second, 'Danish-Rider' - do you still have the bike? Is the cruise control working as expected?
/M (in Stockholm, Sweden)
