Reflash and the 3000 to 3800 rpm vibration

Post by Cgswss » Wed Sep 11, 2019 8:43 pm

I have heard a number of people complain about the vibration when trying to use 6 th gear at legal speeds. I think this is because on my super duke, I get more vibration inthe 3200 to 3900 rpm range ( regardless of gear) frankly, it isn’t all that bad to me, I mean it is a big twin, right? But I have also heard a number of people say they have reflash Ed their bikes and the bikes are buttery smooth after the reflash. Now the only change that was done to my bike ( a 2015 that is new to me with 11,000 miles on it) is that the cat was replaced with an arrow cat delete pipe ( stock muffler). I’m trying to justify spending the big bucks to get a reprogramming tablet.

So, have any of you noticed a vibration increese at low speeds then done a reflash which eliminated the issue?

Arrow makes a few mid pipes, If yours is strait thru you and your not feeling a loss of mid band power around 6k rpm you probably already have the akra offroad flash. 6th gear is really tall on the sdr/gt but there are a few members that have claimed the OFT completely fixed the low rpm stumble in 6th gear it's expensive tho.
