GRRRRR Shop screwed up my fuel level sensor

Post by Random00 » Tue Jul 10, 2018 8:10 pm

Rolled into the gas station, looked down at trip meter and it said 180 miles... Naw, couldn't be. My low fuel light didn't come on. I must have gotten gas and just forgotten to reset it. Let's see how much fuel it takes.

It took 5.238 gallons!!!! :?

Now, fix it myself, or take it back to the shop? Keep in mind, they screwed it up in the first place, it was working, and they take 3 weeks to just look at a bike because they have 3 shops/stores and only 1 KTM mechanic.

Nargh f* it. Do it yourself. It's easy to pop the pump out and refit the sensor 1hr job max. If parts are missing, then take it back. That mechanic sounds overworked. He will probably do another mistake to your bike.
