Removing decals on 2.0

Post by iamtb77 » Sun Mar 25, 2018 12:44 pm

Has anyone attempted to remove the "R" sticker and silver KTM badge from the front fairing on the new bikes ('17-'18)? They don't have any clearcoat like the tank and tail stickers, but i'm wondering if it will leave a noticeable difference in color.

Not sure, but the decal on the shroud is probably the same as a dirtbike sticker. As long as it hasn't seen a lot if sun the color should be fine. The silver KTM? I would be guessing.

Thanks - I just tested it on the tip of the R that points out and there's definitely a noticeable difference on my 2018 that was just uncrated 2 days ago. FYI for anyone that finds this thread.

On my Black 17 SDR I removed the Chrome KTM badges with a heat gun. What's cool is it leaves a ghosted blacker KTM logo on the Radiator wing. Its not left over sticker residue either, kinda odd to tell you the truth but it looks mint. I'll post up a pic later this evening when home from work.
