Just Arrived

Post by 2_SL0 » Sun Dec 17, 2017 4:04 am

Hi Guys,

Thought I better do an intro. Just purchased my second SD, Had an 06 a few years ago, a number of bikes since then. Have added a new 2016 SD (dealer run out special) to the garage. Pick up on Tuesday, do have one quick question, with the traction control on will it power wheelie a little, a lot, not at all?

Rode home, decided to take the scenic way home up the coast. (about 90km). Lets just say I have confirmation of what they do. :D
I did almost see myself getting ready to back the bike into a corner and realised that maybe not on my first ride.
One hell of a fun bike to ride hehe.

I was up your way a few months back on the GT, took it on a IMOC ride (italian motorcycle owners club) Did those nice windie back roads along the coast to Russel, i wore a set of M7RRs out on that trip (3500Ks). Ive booked my ferry for the Burt Monroe trip, the GT is going to be awesome down there.

Cheers 2-slo......yeah right,.... on a 1290Gt  ......

Don't worry about the intro category......as you can see from other threads we all jump in and yarn on ;)

Just keep in mind the Gt will get softer and plusher and nicer (and faster :D ) as you grind out more kays.

Mine was showing it's true character by about 3-5000km, and now at 10,300km it is such a sweetie (but only a twist of the wrist away from psycho.. )......yet it is totally usable every day...... :D

Ha......that reminds me......due to a weird virus sapping my confidence I have only clocked up 300kms since Oct 1........ boy-o-boy am I peeved off with that :( ........ so now it's xmas break and the temps are either hot or hotter......guess I'll be hitting the roads at 4.30am 8-)

 .......
