Post by mogas64 » Fri Nov 03, 2017 12:04 pm

I like the look of it , think i might get one to go with my 2016 1290 Super Duke R SE, they will be at the Motorcycle live at the NEC this month and my dealer says Will be in the showrooms in March , no price as yet.

There's a review of the prototype in Performance Bikes this month. Hasn't got its finished colours but it doesn't look much like the concept. Looks like a slightly bigger 690 Duke.
Be interesting to see the finished article. Should make a hell of a track bike on a small circuit.

Yes I read the report in ON as I have it on subscription, I am very interested to see it at the NEC show, as really thinking of getting one when on sale .

My wife has expressed an interest to get back into riding her own bike. She used to have her own Valkyrie Tourer and now we have been 2-upping the GT for about 7 months...she did her first solo ride around a parking lot yesterday on the GT...I think a 790 would be great for her on our day rides...get it set up like a GT-Lite.

There is a better pic of it in today's MCN (here in the UK) looks better than the prototype in PB this month, will have a butcher's at it at the bike show at the NEC in a couple of weeks (again , here in the UK).

I will have a lone of one in June from my dealer for a week, look forwards to see how it rides compared to my current ride a 2018 MT09SP which is fully modded.
