Emission canister below rear seat

Post by pk1 » Tue Aug 21, 2018 4:20 pm

This canister really annoys me is there any way to remove it without needing to go down the route of removing the whole sas system and installing a pcv ?
I’d also like to remove the flapper valve in the exhaust mechanism to make cleaning easier again does anybody know if this can be done without spending a fortune?
I’m happy with the performance and don’t want to spend a fortune on tuning parts.
Cheers

Well after watching the Rottweiler video of removing canister he commented that some people remove it and just leave the ends open which can draw in dirt. Got me thinking what if you just put some filter gauze over the ends of the pipes and cable tie on.
The canister is only their to vent the fuel tank to atmosphere through charcoal, no sensors on it!
So I’ve removed it and the plate holding it and now have enough space to fit a puncture foam canister result.
Anybody know of any reason this would cause a problem no difference when running the bike😀
Cheers
Paul
