Acerbis dual road handguards

Post by OscarFox » Mon Feb 20, 2017 6:27 pm

Anybody fit these to their 990? They look good just curious if anyone has real world experience because as usual they're not cheap.

I do not have them and/or tried them.

But those would solve the problem with the handguards and cables. On the other hand I'm a little worried these will shake as they are not mounted on 2 points? Or am i just paranoid?

I am interested in this topic.

I've had the tri-fit handguards on my dirt bike, they were pretty good. I think the dual road ones look better for the SMT.

I get what you're saying about vibration

My 990 came with hand guards. Had no issues. I used them during the winter and swapped them out for lever guards in the summer months. Never had any problem with either. [THUMBS UP SIGN]

I'm looking at replacing soft stock ones as well... as I broke my brake leaver after the bike tilted over in the parking lot this summer.

Will get these in a couple of weeks and post an update:

Come in a variety of colors and can get separate wind deflector piece in different color as well. I think I will get an LED for it as well as a additional turn signal.

I saw those as well. I like the idea of the single connection point with the acerbis, but I've heard great things about the bark busters as well. Please let us know how you get along with them..
