Any pictures of non-stock colored Marchesini wheels?

Post by Slomo » Sat Jul 12, 2014 4:43 am

Bent up the front wheel on my SMT...long story short, the wheel was repaired and looks fine now, except the repair process chipped a small area of powdercoat off. Since I plan to get it re-coated, I was thinking of a color change. Any pictures out there...maybe satin black, silver, gold? I have seen some orange SMT wheels and even white on SMR. Post them up if you have them! Thanks!

You can't go wrong with satin black IMHO. I had my R1 wheels powdercoated white which looked great but after 20 miles they looked shite

I thought the same thing about the gold wheels, would look great after a wash - but after riding all day, not so much. I am a big fan of satin black myself...would be a good options since I will probably get my white tank painted since doing my 690 Duke headlight conversion.

Mmmmm, not for me I'm afraid. On any of me bikes with painted wheels, gold or white, after a wash I used to wipe round them with acf or scottoil365 and that used to stop a fair bit of shit sticking to them. Definitely made them easy to clean.

I just picked her up on the weekend: I love the orange and black sumo two tone!

I'll try to get a better picture.

Very nice color. What screen is this; is it a touring cut lower?
