Carbon ceramic brake rotors?

Post by roblund6 » Sun Oct 29, 2017 10:01 am

Hi folks. does anyone know of carbon ceramic brake rotors for the 990 SMT?

I know the unsprung weight advantage should be quite noticeable.

I've searched the internet, (maybe inadequately) but only found ones for cars, but not bikes.

Yours hopefully, Robin.

The only company I know of is Braketech, but no idea if they make them for the SMT

bit overkill really. Reduce unsparing weight by buying carbon fibre wheels and there will be a marked improvement in turning speed, but why ? Might as well buy a V4 Tuono R if you are really looking for the last word in handling, the SMT just isn't the platform for it, but hey, it's your money.
