LED rear stop/tail light replacement options??

Post by Terrified » Thu May 04, 2017 10:10 pm

Hi

As Above. Any option rather than the 'bulb' design fitted as standard. In UK.

Thanks

Chris

Check out " custom led." Blaster x. It's almost identical to the stock one. but flashes. Is programmable , built in blinkers and much brighter. I'm using one temporarily until my warranty replacement arrives.

I bought mine from Light4all.com
http://www.lights4all.com/TAIL-LIGHTS-1 ... 129&page=2.
Had it fitted for over a year now, no problems although it does suffer occasionally from condensation. Easily fixed by drilling a small hole in the bottom of the lens "apparently".
Direct replacement for the original, straight forward to fit.
Cost is currently listed as 64.95 Euros.

Cant see one of these for the 990SMT?? Same as Superduke?

I've fitted these and they look and work really well:

2 X http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151702370542? ... EBIDX%3AIT
They are much brighter than stock running lights. Despite being a tighter fit they do go into the connectors nicely.

1 X http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291402418470? ... EBIDX%3AIT
This is the brake light. Again, straight swap for stock and way brighter!

Happy for now. looks much smarter/modern.

I've got a clear lens LED tail light that also has integrated tail lights - I had it on my 950SE for about three weeks before deciding to make my own tail tidy using a completely different light. I can't remember the name of the company I got it from in Europe but it's available to you if you want. I'm in Toronto, Canada and happy to ship anywhere - email me directly at alongat.gat@gmail.com

I just picked up the blasterx for my SD. It was pricey but I love the brake light programmable modes.

Hi Guys, I replaced my pathetically weak rear light for a LED Unit from a company called KMX_24 DE in Germany. It was on EBay {182271083411}. I have to say it is well worth the money, I paid @ £100 delivered for it. It is a complete unit with multiple LED lights in it and it is about 10 times brighter than the std one. It comes with the wiring harness to connect to the bike and is about 20 minutes to fit. The only thing that I had to do was swap over the anti vibration foam fitted to the std unit, it just peeled off and restuck. Cannot recommend it enough.
Regards Rob

Thanks Rob,
I have looking for a brighter led replacement light as the standard is piss poor.
It is not on eBay searching that item number but it is on their website but it’s only in German.
Nice to get a review from somebody who has one fitted.
Mike.

Hi 'Bug'

I´m sure you can solve the problem to translate the German language to English, using Google translate.
Otherwise, just send them an e-mail and ask kindly what you want to know.
Or klick on the button ('Frage zum Produkt') to the left at the page (link below), and put the question there.

Here is the LED tail light:

Thanks M,
No problem in translating as I have purchased many times from Germany, but the light appears to be identical to the lights4all tail light. Except in price, with a €40 difference, for what I believe to be an identical light.
