Panniers on my SMT

Post by r0bb0mc » Wed May 06, 2015 12:44 pm

Just fitted my C-Bow Hepco Becker panniers on my SMT (fittings are for SMR exhaust mounts). Panniers mounts fit easily and are solid. Panniers are a little bit larger than the KTM SMT soft pannier..
Cost for c-bow mounts and smr brackets were around 280 AUD and 230 for the soft panniers.
If I change bikes, I'd only need to purchase the bikes brackets for c-bow mount.
The other rear bag is a Motodry with some plates and studs fitted. It's been a great bag for the past 3 years.

Old thread :)

Rob, did you have to trim some fender plastic to fit C-Bow rack/mount, or was it direct bolt-on?

Hi. I didn't need to trim anything.

But I had removed heat shields, fitted the SMR mount for the Muffler strap and SC project SMR mufflers.

This made it easier for the pannier mount brackets because they are for the SMR. I haven't tried fitting them with the SMT parts fitted.

If you've got the c-bow kit, PM me and I can send you a list of parts I bought. They weren't expensive.
Cheers,
Rob
