Anyway, good to know there is at least one other reader on the planet ;)

I figure you're *so* desperate for any bike action, Dave, that I can post this shitty, shitty video from my first attempt at using the Contour on the GT.

I know, I know. Stardom awaits.

Hmmmm... a new side by side SDGT eh?

Perfect weather for it....... low humidity, warm but nice, ...... nearly time for me to test the Gt.......

Good to see a couple of responses to my cheeky title...... I must have been in a low mood that day, but I have been granted permission to start driving again, and it feels goood. Soon I'll be tempted to fire up the SDGT - I just have to take little steps.... but it won't be long before I'm back on this thing......

  Yeah, I'd walk too if I came across a road at 90deg to the horizon.....

Cheers Mick...... by the way..... what was the road surface - mud or thick loose gravel?

Also.... did you have to tie the GT down for the cross tunnel journey?

Hahaha good point about the horizon, thought it a good compromise between yours and mine ;)

It was clay with 3'ft tractor ruts on a 45 degree slope and a wire fence each side so no turn around option... when it finally settled down going through a farm yard to gravel I thought it prudent to keep going until L knew things stayed settled ;)

Cross channel tunnel is awesome, pass through customs, ride into train, put it on side stand, grab a quick leak check map/satnav (about 35 minutes) daylight appears up front follow the cars off and just ride out straight onto motorway
