Looking at a set with Arrow Headers..
Can this be similiar with The Akrapovic headers?
Anybody tried or have some experience with them?

The One that Im Thinking of is The stainless steel version.

I had extreme difficulty getting aftermarket pipes for my SMT. Leo Vince stopping import to USA started my research. AKROs are beyond practical for my finances. I finally got the Arrow exhaust to fit a 950. They are awesome in my perspective. I had the ECU reflashed and installed a K&N filter, SAS block off plates. I changed the primary sprocket from 17T to 16T. It changed the RPM +500. It may be unbelievable, but my fuel mileage increased from 38 to 40 MPG.
The downfall to the Arrow exhaust is the OEM pannier bags/ brackets don't fit. The cans are a bit large in diameter. I fabricated the muffler mounts. I think the SMR mounts may work. I just haven't done any more research on that subject. The Y pipe has no heat shield. I have experienced a brake fade as they are so close to the brake lines on the right down tube. I'm working to resolve that issue. I have a fair amount of city driving that contributes to heat. BTW, they are Ti cans with carbon tips. Sound great with silencers in or out and are easy to remove with one cir-clip each.

I apologize for forgetting. Stock turn signal will not fit without mods. I have a TailTidy and purchased much smaller LED lights. It will be the same for the stock fender. Easy job though.
