SC Project

Calling all SC Project exhaust owners.

I was looking on KTMTwins at these exhausts, and noticed they said that it does not fit Supermoto T. I sent an enquiry to clarify, stating that people on here had fitted them, and got the following response:
Hello Joe

Unfortunately the 990 Supermoto and the 990 Supermoto T are just
different enough that their exhausts systems cannot be swapped to each
others frame and sub-frame. The system they have listed is for the 990
Supermoto R and Adventure but unfortunately it will not fit the very
unique SMT. Right now you are limited to a couple companies as far as
exhaust is concerned. FMF, Remus, Akrapovic and I believe WIngs.
Unfortunately we cannot get Wings since they do not want to have a
dealer network set up and want to sell their goods directly to the

Is this just a misunderstanding between KTMTwins & SC Project? Or is the part I'm looking at on there ( ... ust-system)different to what everyone else has fitted?

Any problems getting these fitted or a need to make up brackets etc? I intend to fit stubby SM heat shields as well.

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Hi Guys, This has always been a concern with buying anything other than the Akro. My SC-Project exhaust will (should) be arriving within 2 weeks. I've orded the KTM04-11O and will let you know what problems I have, if any. I'm an Aircraft Technician by trade so I'm pretty confident I can get them on even if I need to modify brackets etc.. There's a Youtube video with a SMT fitted with the SC-Project pipes, that I watched before ordering mine.

Thanks Rob. I think that vid was by Zapster/Zapper on this forum. Hopefully he will help out with some comments re fitment.

I'm torn between getting an order in now and hoping it's all ok vs waiting to see how you get on vs just get a tried and tested brand.

I guess it's possible that fitting them with the SM heat shield stuff could make it more straightforward - and perhaps it would only be difficult if you wanted to keep the SMT heat shield, pannier rack etc. Or maybe i'm being hopeful!

I've had the pipes a while now and they're extremely loud.

Sure look good.
I have the Arrow, which is for the ADV. Fit was fine, nothing special that I am aware of versus the SM/SMT.
If you have ever put together an 'easy to assemble' box furniture, you can do this.

Hi, I don't have the box furniture, I have some tools which I got with my sofa order here in Australia! Some screws I have. Could I do it?
