Nice. I thought the oval jcs will allow owner to retain the heat shields? I have ordered the tri over model. Not sure if the heat shields can be retained. Been emailing him but no response. Will post pictures once pipes are installed. According to him. Mine was the first order for the tri overs. How come none of you chaps ordered that model?

You can save the heat shields, but why? Save weight.

Haha I see. Anyway, I do 2up riding more often with my wife so figured that heat shields should remain.
Hopefully I would see the Tri overs in the mail box soon and will post some review on that.

Somehow I got this feeling JCs exhausts copy the diameters of some of the "branded" pipe makers out there. Anyone can verify this? The oval version looks like a copy of the Leos while the tri over looks like its from Akra?

Claesson, how's the performance of the pipes? Any significant differences when you run the bike with these pipes on? Not looking at dyno charts but simply based on butt feel. :)

It felt like a power increase to me, but that could be due to angry sounds it makes now every time I twist the throttle. I did need to get the map reset as it kept backfiring and popping loudly when I would decellerate. Only took them half an hour to fix that and if you look on ADV Rider there are ways to do it yourself.

The tri ovals looks better, I vent for the ovals because they were cheaper. I had tri oval carbon acra on my previous bike.

To change exhaust and get rid of heatshields and the luggage bars really saved a lot of weight, it helped reduce the ~16kg my hard luggage system was. 38L + 38L plus the frame.

But if I had wanted to I wouldn't have had to remove any original parts. If you choose to remove the luggage bar you need to construct something to fasten the "clamps" to, the bands supporting, holding up the pipes. No rocket science though. Huuu I'm to tired, I cant write or explain...

I think its more powerful now, and if I ride without ear plugs it feels even faster again ;)

JC, he doesn't reply via email but he picks up the phone...

Congrats, which model did you ordered?

My full carbon tri ovals just cam in the mail yesterday. I stay in Singapore and I received it 3 days after jc mailed me the tracking number. Quite surprised to find a used cigeratte butt within e contents of the box. I will wait till bike is runner in before installing it and posting my review and pictures on them.

When you guys ordered yours, how was the service from JC? I ordered mine in August and I haven't heard so much as a peep out of them... No confirmation email, no ETA, no replies to my emails. I'm beginning to think my money disappeared down a black hole.

It did take him a while to reply to my emails. I was also beginning to wonder. But they showed up.

I know it is expensive to phone from overseas but Aitch will answer his mobile much better than an email.
Give it a go and it will give you peace of mind :)

I ordered the tri ovals with carbon end cap but end up with the full carbon tri ovals. And that's after calling to confirm. He never answers his mail so just give him a call.
