Stock Exhaust, intake parts: Keep, or . . . ?

Post by Tad Ghostal » Tue Mar 10, 2020 6:29 pm

Purchased an '11 that had all the goodies installed immediately after original delivery. These are quality parts, and will absolutely last for the remaining useful life of the bike.

So, the question is--what the heck to do with the OEM intake and exhaust? Seeing as they're essentially brand new, it seems a shame to scrap them. But doesn't every bike out there already have an exhaust?

I'm kinda stumped on what to do.

I'd love to hear any ideas or suggestions!!

(I can't imagine much demand for OEM exhaust parts on these bikes . . . )

Well the exhaust pipes are known to crack at the hangers so I'd keep or try and sell.

Thanks for sharing. I did not know that.

Is this a fault with the OEM parts, or is this a common problem with aftermarket exhausts as well?
