So I've been resisting the 2017 690 Duke, and now have to try a little harder with the 790 2018 (US). Still bummed the 690 R version didn't make it here though. Love to hear from any owners on how you are finding it...

I was pretty excited about my wife doing some soloing on the GT and I thought that of the bug really hit hard we could look at a 790 Duke for her...the bug does not seem to be biting as hard as I would like and with the rices falling on the GT, it would probably be a smarter buy to get another GT for her instead of the 790.

I'm looking forward to the introduction in the U.S. later in the year, I'll provably end up buying one. It promises to be another category buster, this time in the middleweight division. I'm even considering parting with my beloved SMT to make room for this lightweight wonder.

Any idea on timing of that intro to the US?

The motorags say last qtr of the year as a '19 model. Based on my experience buying my SMT & 1290r I would estimate early deliveries about a year from now.
