Weather is horrible here in SC so, I thought I would post some more mod’s I made to my 2017 KTM SDGT designed for long distance Sports Touring. This is Pyramid Plastic Rear Fender Extender ( https://www.motomachines.com/Pyramid-Pl ... _6582.html ). Works OK but, if you are going with carbon fiber I might consider this pricey product: http://carbomoto.com/shop/Bekleidung/Sp ... -1290.html . Appears to provide better/ longer cover over the rear tire. Best,

Doc :D :D

Hi Doc.
I've also got a pyramid plastic extender on my GT.
They do a good job as I also had one on my old 990 superduke.
I notice you have bolted yours.I only used the supplied glue as has stuck like shit to a blanket.

Cheers Dave NZ

Ive got one too. I bonded mine using the glue they sell and its stuck fast. It also looks far neater than having a line of rivets. I got one for the front too.

Mr C,

Agree, the carbon fiber model is much more appealing & looks very functional. Wish they made it in flat/ matte black. Best,

Doc :) :)

8-) I reckon it looks tuff with the rivets.... ;)

I made one up from some scrap lightweight material.....it's about the same size and works really well keeping most of the road grime off the shockie and undertail paint.......but the Pyramid Plastics and the CF hugger sure look nice 8-). Well worth the spend and easy to fit on (I've got the Pyramid front extender..didn't know about the rear hugger extender at the time - so made my own.... ).
