has anyone tried one of those clip on visors?

i want to wait for the full puig system coming out (no telling if that will work either) but the stock wind is killing me. i almost wonder if it would be better with the entire windscreen off. I have a naked bike that has never once grabbed my helmet when i turn to the side the way it does on this bike.

260miles today. Various 'speeds'. In low position clean air, in high position very little turbulence. Recommended addition for touring.

Fitted Puig screen over 1000 miles ago - vast improvement and looks like standard fit. Recommended, pity KTM didn't design one like it as standard, would have saved £100!

KTM seem to think we are only interested in styling in this department, they have another screen available; it is the same shape and size but tinted! Just silly.

Mine came with a tinted screen, and I'm more than happy with the standard (tinted) screen.

Standard screen is good, with little turbulence. I just wanted something a bit taller to give a bit more high speed protection from the weather on Autobahn/Europe roads when I go away.

G'day Jbiker,

I've been looking at the Puig website after seeing a photo of a forum members GT with tinted Puig touring screen (prob yours  ). Puig says it is 1mm thicker material so I was wondering if it might be a bit heavy for the GT mounts given it is 135mm taller.

Have you had any concerns with your Puig screen? They look great and I haven't seen any other screens for a GT in the limited time I've been looking......

Cheers from Aus

Holy Cow Batman.. :o ...... I just dropped by the local KTM candy store and asked what the price was here in good old Aus......... $370Aus and 8 weeks wait for the next shipment(where have I heard this before - oh that's right - Aussie importers  )....... err, should say that was for the Puig Touring screen c/w the adjustable air-foil/spoiler thingy.

Revzilla had the base screens in stock for $120US but they won't ship internationally due risk of breakage....bugger :( ........The Puig sure looks nice......bigger, but not too big I think.....and might not need the adj-spoiler.

The KTM smoked screen is currently in stock Aus for $252.00......now, to drill some holes in my oem clear screen and fit my smoke tinted X-creen sport ...... in 2 months there might be more thinking needed

Hey, how is this my fault :D

This is interesting for anyone looking at the screen:

Never seen an aftermarket company provide this level of detail.

Cheers mate, I saw that info and liked the photo too :) .......just having drama's actually buying one.....not like with the oldCapo12......could order anything for it and get it within a week or two back then......something's changed for us ........maybe old Jerry Harvey has caused the net to tighten up so we have to wait for importer's to errr, import......if they feel like it... ;)

I want to buy two rear sprockets (39 + 40t) and a Puig screen......but I don't want to wait 8weeks...... :x

Oh well......might save my money and enjoy what I've got......it's pretty good as it is ...

Oh joy oh joy...... I got serious and opened my wallet (well, Visa....) and ordered my Puig light smoke touring screen from sdmoto-parts.com in France. That was on Thurdsday ere in the land of Hobbit's, and sdmoto-parts have already shipped it and it has escaped France and is winging it's way to me - probably have it in a day or two (if Aussie freight handler's don't lose it.... ).....

I'm well impressed with the service, and i didn't even have to log on to my account to check progress....they were proactive and emailed me a link......so simple and easy to follow the action.. :)

I did see another site in Italy (it tuning. ) and they had the same screen cheaper, but their postage was double so in the end the price was the same......but the delivery from France was way faster and they stated they use oversized packaging for safety ......won me..... :D

I found the puig touring screen useless, I'm 5'7" and it created too much buffeting, rather than just stick it in draw and forget about it I decided to cut it down, looks rather good, I'll have to go and try it to see if there's any difference to the turbulence .
