Does it mess with the panniers? What did you do for a tune?

Panniers fit fine although i have fitted some self adhesive heat shield underneath the pannier as a precaution

Also had to make a bracket to fit the can to the peg

Running OFT tune (as soon as i get the file back from Shiv)

Do you have a picture for the bracket? Dimensions or anything?

Here you go if you can make it out
All its doing is moving the mounting point forward as the GT pegs are further back than the SDR

Little tip, Fit the headers and tighten them up, Leave loose (no springs) the resonator and end can so you can mount it in the position where you want it, it is flexible as its then fixed with the tension springs

You need that clearance between the can and the pannier bracket if your going to use them

2016 evo system needs the exhaust can bracket as per Markey's .

2017 Evo system does not need the modified bracket, because the new SDR bike shares the same stock headers and can as the GT so the mountings are correctly positioned however the evo header is slightly longer and moves the can nearer to the bottom of the pannier so probably would melt the case bottom.

it's actually just a guess on my part from doing the maths and having a looksy at all the individual items and comparing GT/SDR bikes in detail.

Anybody got an SDR rear peg to measure the distance between the mounting points to the frame ?

Just curious if they would fit the GT for some alternative options

I was just at the dealership and totally could have measured. I would think they would be the same, the sub frames don’t look different. But I’m sure they are completely incompatible.

Really bummed about the ktm akra map won’t work on the GT’s, anyone know why it doesn’t?

The sub frame is longer on the GT for the passenger seat.

Markey,

I'm curious what you did with the exhaust valve, and how well you got it running?
