Dyno map on gt with decat

Post by pk1 » Sun Sep 30, 2018 8:06 pm

Had my bike on dyno to check af ratio running slightly lean in places but nothing of concern i think?
Ive read changing the rear velociity stack to an 80 would richen it a bit anybody done this?
I dont want to go down the pc5 and ignition module with dyno time due to cost
Anybody done this mod on a gt?
The bike runs great and i was surprised at the peak rwhp thought it would be higher i had 116rwbhp on my smt after mods and this gt is in another level 5th gear power wheelie

I see its 143 HP at 8500 revs, the GT revs to 10,000 but would peak around 9500, so still a few more HP there. My ex 1290R with mapping and link pipe and Acra dynoed to 164, the GT feels a good 10 HP less, so my thoughts are its around 150hp at 9500 revs.
2016 1290GT-remus link and muffler, 2010 Black 1200 Multistrada full Termi system with mapping, 2005 SMR 640, full Titanium system, Mikuni flatside racing carb, 2 sets of wheels, 18 litre tank, and a nice soft seat.

Had my GT on the dyno with Rottweiler air box and stacks with Akro slip on and PC5 but with cat still installed and got just a hair under 150 hp and 89 ft pounds. Tuner who has a lot of experience with Ktm told me maybe another 7 hp and 5 ft pounds with the cat removed. Now I have the cat removed and using a friends map and the bike does feel stronger.

Ahhh, that I get. I have road where my Panigale will do that at 140. It’s kind of cool when it does it, but at 140 I would prefer not to push my luck so I feather the throttle back now when I get to it.

Thanks for the write up on your mods.
