I have a Shorai Lithium battery in my 1974 Norton Commando and it works great. Extremely low maintenance, no need to keep it on a battery tender during long periods of storage, etc. and it is very light.

My 2017 KTM SDGT is quite new so no real pressing need to replace the OEM at present but when I do, I will definitely replace it with a Shorai Lithium.

Hope that helps.

I have put Lithium batteries on my S1000R and Ducati Panigale in the past few months. So far so good. The one for the BMW is close to stock in size so it was an easy install. The one for the Ducati is much smaller than stock so I had to get creative installing it.

I have a Shorai in my Adventure. I bought mine on the interwebs, it was shipped surrounded by foam. They instructed me to use that foam, to brace it inside the OEM battery box. I haven't had a problem with that fitment. When they say to turn on the bike and let the battery warm up before starting, they really mean it. I have had it installed for about three years, but probably won't go back with another.

I just put an EarthX in mine. The stocker crapped out after 7 months. KTM and the dealer had no interest in taking care of it. The EarthX fits just fine and works well.
