Does anyone know if the 2017 1290 SD GT can be fitted with Quicksift Plus, like the SDR?

Great question, so great in fact that I reached out to KTM-USA and asked if the Quickshifter could be upgraded from up-only to an up and down QS. I was hoping it could be as easy as a software update. I was advised it is not possible. I am really wanting the QS+ too. Is it enough to get the next GT, if the cruise is on the left side and the new tft dash...maybe, as long as all of the goodies I have on my '17 will fit it...
A cool read that talks about the QS on our bikes...

Tbh I find the cut time to long, it's reduced if you fit 40t sprox, it's needs to feel more interactive .

If the standard upshift only is anything to go by I would not bother. Its in slow motion compared to the S1000r!

It works but not well.

o when I got my SUper Duke GT, it was my first EVER sport bike...and I enjoyed the discussions where hairs were being split on the pluses and minuses of different features on different bikes...but the BMW quickshifter is the shit...you have no idea how clunky the KTM's switchgear is until you use somebody else's. I test rode 2 BMW's last weekend and the both had quick shift up and down...a K1600GT and an S1000XR and that is a blast, and very very fast...wish I had the up and down and wish it was BMW fast
