Any suggestions appreciated

Sometimes i just pull the clutch in and change gear, that way its a smoother disengage, if your using your brake to disengage the cruise control, then your passenger will head but you as theres no throttle, just engine braking.

 I thought about being a smart-arse and saying 'leave her at home'...... but the real answer is as per DaveNz....... I also set my cruise to 'activated' before departure and just leave it on - that way I can set a speed (or not) whenever I want (less fiddly that trying to activate and set).

The clutch is the way to go....... you're not even required to think 'disengage' just change down a gear like normal and it's waiting for you to 'resume' previous speed setting or set a new speed....... ;)

cheers guys, wish I'd asked earlier... might have saved marriage, only joking :D fortunately we dont have blue tooth between helmets, she said its the time she gets peace ;)
Had a natter to a couple of aussies at Amiens who were visiting the battlefields in the area, I asked if they knew a guy called Dave and they said yes! Anyway I gave them that £20 i owe you and they said they would give it to you when they see you :D

 A little birdie tells me there are a couple of Aussie prankster's in Amien's enjoying a beer or two on me  . Then again.... there's a lot of 'Dave's' out here, so maybe they were being honest..... ;) .

France eh...... long way from home....... hope they turned on the sunshine for you  .  just realized I do know two people over there...... my sister and her husband...... small world if it was them you bumped into, and I don't know if either of them know what a KTM is even though I had it parked in their garage last April while the new remote rolla door was being installed in my garage.....

Anyway, looking forward to your pics.

Cheers
