What brand & type of chain are you guys replacing thw OEM chain on the KTM SDGT- RK, DID, etc.?? Mine has rust that is very difficult to remove at 4K miles. Best,

Me too. Has anyone done any 520 chain/ sprockets change on one of the SDGT? I'm not racing nor adding anything to add power, but losing some weight especially rotational weight sounds good. I did a similar move on my 2015 Yamaha R1 which has more power at the back tire than this bike and it lasted great, still running the same setup with new components last season.
Of course I would rather do the BST orange carbon fiber wheels and save even more....
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Been looking at the RK GXW or ZXW. Typically replace both sprockets & the chain at 10K service. Already at 4K miles. Like you just trying to see what other chain products KTM SDGT riders are replacing the OEM chain. Best,

Shit I’m at 20K and the chain still looks good, but when the time comes I’ll do the front sprocket and the top of the line 525 DID chain. The DID on my multistrada did 54,000 Ks, I only replaced it for precaution also did from sprocket at same time.
2016 1290GT-remus link and muffler, 2010 Black 1200 Multistrada full Termi system with mapping, 2005 SMR 640, full Titanium system, Mikuni flatside racing carb, 2 sets of wheels, 18 litre tank, and a nice soft seat.

Ditto for me......... only 11,300kms but chain looks new. I'll expect around 60k kms maybe more (though it is a V2 with uneven power pulses and bulk horse power.. ;) ). No snow grit on our roads ( ) errrr, lumpy tracks.

Cheers from Scar (they are healing nicely so I'll have to think of a new nickname soon :) ).
