Post by RDKLL » Tue Apr 25, 2017 9:40 pm

Team,
Does anyone have the part numbers for the revised panniers for the GT? Since they will be fixing my bike, would like to get the newer version...thanks in advance!

G'day RDKiller.... ;) ......I read on here that the newer side cases are distinguished by the three screws holding the orange/silver colour flashes in place. Depending on whats been damaged, they might just put new lids on.

I have a suspicion that the only problem with the old cases was the colour panels flying off at high speed. The gap problem (I suspect) is more one of loading the weird shaped cases incorrectly......but I could be wrong......... I don't load the cases as fully as my Givi E41's because of the pyramid shaped lid and the narrow latch area.....there is no latch up front or down the back, so it's vital not to put pressure on the case lid's in those areas......easily said.....not easily done......so I just load my backpack style inner bags into the base section and leave the lids to hold 'air' or a couple of smelly socks...
