New 17 GT

Post by Thomas54 » Sat Apr 07, 2018 5:32 pm

Hi folks, picked up my new 2017 GT in early Feb. Unfortunately we still have quite a bit of snow on the ground so will be a few weeks before I can get out on the road.

Cheers Thomas54........ glad to have another GT forum member aboard.

Frozen landscapes ......... at least it will thaw ............ I have to recover from by-pass surgery right in the middle of the most perfect riding weather ............. arrrrghhhhhhh .........but them's the break's eh

Prob get the ok to drive by May, and maybe just maybe, I'll be healed enough to ride by September..... :(

Wishing you some warmer weather soon........just don't take the traction control off on slippery roads ;)

Thanks for the welcomes. It has been a late spring here as well but things are looking up today with fairly warm temps and snow melting quickly. we have certainly talked about getting a trailer and hauling our bikes down south to get some winter riding but will wait to next winter.

This is a big change from a FJ09 so really looking forward to getting out and using the electronic suspension adjustment, cruise control etc. Have had lots of time to sit in the garage admiring my new bike and reading the owners manual a few times.

We have a few GT's over here on Vancouver island. If your ever riding this way let me know and we can go for a ride.

Finally have had some great riding weather! Have been doing some riding the past week and rode out to Mount Robson today, the bike is awesome. Have to admit I scared myself a couple of times.

Will defiantly look you up on Vancouver Island (vet57air) if we get out there this year. Also same to Aussie Dave, daughter lives in Tas and thinking of mainland bike trip this year when we come to visit.
