Hey, gotta ask ...... what's with the reference to improved 'reliabiity' tag? My GT is 10880kms young and not quite a year old - starts everytime/all the time and does not use any oil (true). The only mod most will need is to slightly alter the gearing by using the rear quick change to install a 39 or 40 tooth sprocket......and that is not absolutely necessary, but it does make the early running in miles easier by keeping the revs up where the motor will be smoothest.
Keep in mind this thing is a Sport bike that can tour......it's not a sport tourer in the traditional sense
Sorry.......had to race to my GP appointment.......phew.....done.......forgot to mention only bug-bear with GT is the stupid 750rpm gap from 5th to 6th.........so nothing will fix that (without making the other near perfect ratios not so nice.....) but the 40t does bring 6th into a more usable range - at present I just ride mine as 5speeder (6th is only usable above 130kph) but when my 40t rear arrives (

) I expect to see 6th usable at 120kph .......without buggering up the nice 1-5 ratio's........note to KTM.......redesign 6th in gearbox for countries that don't have unlimited Autostrada's.......thanks.
