Deals Gap Weekend

Post by Dewayne Edwards 1974 » Tue Sep 05, 2017 5:31 pm

So 1st big trip with GT and I have to say I loved it. It's worth every penny! Did 1015 miles over 4 day weekend.
What I love about it, 1st thing is that motor, handling, heated grips (damp 54 degrees) l, cruse control (came in handy long stretches there and back)
Nit picking, the seat needs some more cushion ( going to fix that soon) and where the cruse controls are located) but I can deal with it because the rest of the bike is damn good

Cheers D-W-E...... I sling a piece of short cropped 'sheep skin' for longer trips (that's the slice of gray in the odd photo of mine - but you might try that other seat option (wassit called....heated/comfort seat) even if you don't need the heat, it is a bit thicker/softer.....some of the guys on here have gone that way and seem happy with the result.. ;)

Nice write up, is the average mpg U.S. gallons? I only ask because U.S. gallons are about .8 of an imperial gallon ie 4.5 litres, if so I reckon you got around 50 mpg per UK gallon/4.5 litre which I think is very good

Could be right......my GT has told me I was getting 22kms per litre while on the motorway and being good (ie speed limit & cruise control ;) errr, in 5th gear! )......so that's somewhere around - where's that calculator - 13.75m/ltr = 61.875 mpgUK - or approx 50USmpg.......without any headwinds or big hills....
