Collected my bike today

Post by mick shere » Thu Jul 27, 2017 2:08 pm

Awesome! Rode the 80 miles back from the dealer (7 miles with the fuel light flashing an extremely attention grabbing fashion, phew)
tested the double opposed digit operated cruise control button ;) Think the solution is to press it on when starting off and leave it on all the time just using when needed
Thanks to the British summer weather I also get to know it intimately this evening when cleaning it apres hail storm :)
It didnt really occur to me how planted it is in windy conditions until I passed a couple of bikes struggling and being battered all over the roads (another example of British summers)

All in all.... a tremendous day :D :D

I've been impressed by how stable the bike is in strong cross winds too and also when passing big trucks in the same conditions.

She said you disappeared! Oops :D

Awesome Mick, great purchase eh?. I've just got home from a 4 day 1500Km trip away on the GT, had to buy a new set of tyres on the way home. first set Angel GTs-6,600Ks...2nd .M7RRs 3,300Ks to very bald (rear) so now have purchased some Metzler 01s. This bike loves tyres if you have a heavy right wrist like me
2016 1290GT-remus link and muffler, 2010 Black 1200 Multistrada full Termi system with mapping, 2005 SMR 640, full Titanium system, Mikuni flatside racing carb, 2 sets of wheels, 18 litre tank, and a nice soft seat.

Congrats on the new GT. This was my first non-Valkyrie bike and is a 2-up machine for weekend rides with my wife...SHE LOVES IT and she has even ridden it solo in a parking lot...
The torque is amazing...I am a giggling idiot after riding it.
