New Owner

Howdy Ya'll! Just purchased a '16 black and orange over the weekend. Ive already ordered the CW slip -on and tail tidy, as well as some cheap shorty levers I found on ebay. What really caught my attention was the Puig engine fairings but i cant seem to find any full pics online to get an idea of what they look like. If you have any please post, it would be greatly appreciated. Also wondering if there are any NYC area riders. thank you!

Welcome to this forum. It's a bit quite still but GT owners are listing by the week. There's already a small but great knowledge base available.
Cheers!

Hello Legends just picked up the 1290 Gt 2016 model , was a cancelled order the guy could not get finance his loss my gain , definitely cost me they would not do any deals as it was the last one available in Australia

I also have the 1190 R adv 2015 which i have spent a small fortune on adding bling and more bling but love this bike , so now I'm all KTM'd up and will be asking for advice with mods soon for the GT

Cheers Rick

Congrats on your new GT Rick. The first shipment of GTs (last March-April) sold out in under 2 weeks here. i left it a little too late to enquire about one. The bike shop said they could get me one out from the US, i said yes, and had to wait nearly 3 months, i have it now, and have travelled 2400Ks on it.While in Melbourne for the Moto GP, i went around the bike shops there, i visited 3 KTM bikes shops, and not one had, or could get a GT until next year. I told them KTM had brought 10 out of the US into NZ, they were pissed because they couldn't get any, well i was up in Hamilton getting my first service 3 weeks back, and the guy there said they imported 30 from the US, so there are heaps of them for sale here.

To my knowledge the only GT's brought into North America were the 70 or so brought in for the "North American GT release" at the KTM dealers meeting in Whistler B.C. (that's in Canada eh) which was held in June. All but 2 were demos. Dealers were able to buy them after the meeting. 70 GT's is not much for all of North America.

Pretty crazy, a city the size of Melbourne with a population larger than all of NZ, and you can't buy, or test ride a GT, here there is at least 8 being advertised by dealers, which also have more than 1 in stock, and theres a few demo's available.
