Unidentified plug under tank

Post by Kaznomad » Sun Mar 19, 2017 11:31 am

I recently took off the fuel tank to run new wiring for my Innov camera system. I found an open plug on the left side near the frame. I could not find anything it could be connected to but it seems unusual it is just left open. Anyone recognise it? What is it for? See attached pictures.

if your not getting any error codes I wouldn't worry about it. I don't know if the Secondary Air System (SAS) is required in your country but that looks like the plug for the SAS Pump.

A lot of companies the sell SAS removal kits sell a little resistor dongle that plugs into it. Maybe if your bike isn't equipped with the emissions systems the firmware isn't looking for a resistance data point from that connector.
If you ain't living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
