990 ABS (2009-2013) - speedometer problem

Post by Agostinho Gomes » Mon Feb 22, 2016 7:18 pm

after replace batery, the speedometer goes nuts: tach doesn´t work, bar temp always blinking, speed shows random values
you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RJzD0Z9PE8

happen to anyone?
i don´t know what to do.

meanwhile:
have test on my bike a speedometer from a 690 Enduro 2008 (without ABS), and everything works except speed.
speed shows high values, because 690Enduro doesn't have ABS.
same as this case: viewtopic.php?p=46624

Something not connected properly, or more likely a loose connection/bad earth. The rev counter needle should sweep all the way round and back when you turn the ignition on.

Check all the cables/connections etc. for tightness.
This is what I do with mine....

Not exactly that problem, but mine went haywire before completely dying. I just bought a new set of clocks and haven't had any trouble since.

i suppose my speedo have done total reset.
because when i ride, speed reach 999 km/h.
speedo dont have right calibration for speed signal received.

i find a guy who can program my speedo. but i need a new one, to copie to my the programing.

Hi Agostinho, if you want some new clock to copy the program, I have a 990 SMT near you, Trofa ;) Send me a private message if you need (pode ser em português, claro :P )
