I did not have an insert to go into the mid pipe either, I would not have used it anyway, it might create a little bit of back pressure but it would not be effective like a DB killer which essentially pressurizes the muffler & forces the exhaust out past the baffle tube in the muffler into the outer body of the muffler to absorb the sound, there is certainly nowhere for the exhaust to go in the mid pipe!

You can try playing around with different tubes etc on the DB killers, if I only rode on a race track & didnt have neighbours...........& police then having the loud exhaust would be no problem

Now I have something totally different & rare which I am am pretty happy with anyway

I decided on a SC project slip-on, stock cat and rotty airbox. Kev's map #4 is almost identical in set-up and it's smooth as hell, not even sure I need to dyno it. I've never, ever kept a loud exhaust on my bikes in all my years I always get tired of it. So I thought this was the best option, maybe +2 db that will get louder over time as all aftermarket pipes do.. Did I need the airbox? Who knows but it sure runs good now.

AR High exhaust. Very loud even with the DB killer installed. With this welded on extension & precisely drilled holes ( 4 columns total) It has toned it down a bit. It might be acceptable. The tip of the DB killer is welded shut. Ill be doing the 4th gear wheelie test later today to see if its affected the power.

How did the wheelie tests go?

My butt dyno says im down on power. Fek. Had to pull it up in 4th. Couldn't get over 245 kph going against the wind. It seems to run smooth though.
I could live with this tone. Not as nice as the Akra combo I have, but ok. Sound & power wise. I prefer the Akra/Arrow Cat c/w Akra DB killer.
Ill drill another row of holes tomorrow.
I painted the frame. Engine intact. Did I miss a spot ?(again)

I did a doubletake, with the blacked out trellis you had me spinning. Bike looks good like that tho.
Enjoy
