Bodis decat

Post by kdm06d » Sat Dec 24, 2016 6:46 pm

I installed a bodis decat with stock can.

The performance is worse for me. I cant even get the traction control light to come on in third gear anymore.

Did anyone else install just the bodis decat and feel the same loss of power?

I doubt if your problem is related to removing the CAT. Is your bike a GT or SDR?

No. I have the Arrow. But if your bike is a 1290 SDR removing the CAT & installing what ever system U put on shouldn't affect your performance the way U state.
Now if your 1290 is a GT then there is more to this then just removing the CAT. The GT has a exhaust valve which is wired into the electronics.

I think we have to open the intake up at the same time as we do the exhaust and then install the akra map. I have the bodis and didn't really notice the performance gains til I did the akra map and my front tire still comes up around 8000 rpm in the first 4 gears, even did it in 5th once! Before owning this bike I only did 150 mph once before and I gotta say doing it on 1 wheel is a whole different kind of thrill. The only thing I notice that hurts the performance of my bike is humidity, on those 80% days I really feel it.
Enjoy
