Difficulty finding neutral

Post by RDKLL » Sun Jan 15, 2017 6:01 pm

I have noticed that several times when going from 1st to N, it goes to 2nd and often times when pressed it goes back to 1st...seems to take a concentrated effort to get into 1st.
Anyone else have this occur?

I've had this on numerous bikes over the years. Usually sorted with an oil change if it doesn't sort itself out after a few rides. I usually just switch off and then find neutral if it's being a pain.

Hi RDKLL

Some SMT-owners says that this phenomen comes due to the oil jets size. Search the forum and you will find quite many threads about it, I think.

Usually the bigger the hole in the oil jet the harder to find neutral, maybe check to see if the oil jet is plugged?
