Oberon Slave Cylinder Install - Use O RING?

Post by ted99 » Sat Oct 15, 2016 4:50 pm

Just got am Oberon slave cylinder. It didn't come with a new rubber O RING. Should I reuse the one from the old original slave cylinder?

Hi!
Watch this video:

Go to 7.30 min and also take a look at 12.30 min.
The guy does not use the o-ring. It´s still at the old slave cylinder.

Thanks! I also went without it. No leaks so far. Not too big of a difference in performance either. Although' I've always kept my clutch fluid clean.

:)
I´ve also replaced the original slave unit to an Oberon, and I can´t remember I used the o-ring either.
Just like you I don´t feel any different in performance.
Guess all the guy´s that tell the Oberon "is soooo great" in some way have had problems with clutch/slave/oil jet etc.
