Lower pegs and sidestand, shifter interference

Post by xaman » Tue Mar 01, 2016 4:24 am

Question for you guys --

I fitted a set of Buell Uly pegs, about 1 1/4- 1 1/2" drop. But the shifter doesn't like the lower position as it interferes with the side stand. Anyone know any good options other than wearing really big boots? :D

A different shifter that stood out from the case further might work, If there is such a thing?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Just an update in case someone runs across this thread in the future ---

The shifter was actually making contact with the lower chain guide more than the side stand... A little grinding to the guide gave the clearance necessary for smooth shifting.
