Throttle Cable slack

Post by Sweetlou » Fri Jul 17, 2015 2:40 am

All, after installing my G2 throttle tamer, the progressive curve of it creates a bunch more slack in the throttle cable.

I used TuneECU to reset the throttle cable and adjusted the slack. Problem is now I am OUT of adjustment on the handlebar. If I go any further the adjuster backs off the threads.

Is there a way to adjust the return cable to take up some of the slack? Or is there another adjuster somewhere? Maybe on the throttle body itself?

Thanks

There is slightly more adjustment on the bottom of cable on throttle bodies. I rerouted cable when I removed standard air box, so it came out on top of cross bar under headstock. This gave approx. 20mm extra plus adjustment gain.
