Water Leak

Post by alien » Mon Jul 22, 2013 8:25 pm

Out for run today noticed a very slight water leak from right hand side of the engine. Appears to be the water pump cover. Not overly concerned by it, bike book into dealer on 1st Aug. I assume the gasket needs replaced. Anyone else had this problem?

Water Leak

Mine seeps just a touch at that gasket when ambient temps are under 40 (f) and the bike sits for a couple days. Since temps warmed up back in late March there are no signs of leaking.

I've had that gasket replaced under warranty - it had a huge chunk out of it from the factory. The other thing I have seen fail a couple of times it the rubbish hose clips in the cooling system, I have swapped out most of mine as they can leak a little.
