the mechanic at my local KTM dealer checked the filter and said it was fine. So far they've given a really solid service. I think i'll start by inspecting the connectors and seals. Thanks guys

Side stand switch is where I would be looking next.

Just started having this exact problem myself, thanks to this awesome forum I know where I will start...with the filters.

Oh and by the way, service manual states a good pressure test should give 48-54 psi.

Same problem for me. When the throttle is open full I get a loss of power. Anybody know of a place in italy/Europe that could sort me out with a fuel pump? Smt at 55000 km

There's one he recommended from America but the time for it to arrive has me hesitant. Anybody know any other Europe side? Also if I were to buy from ktm the full unit, how online and price?

I know there is always some risk and the teabag filter is there to protect the pump, but it's not like I'm filling up in 3rd World countries with fuel poured out of a bucket.
Look at all the fuel sock and fuel filter clogging/failures folks are having now. And you want to skip that filtration? Please explain how that could POSSIBLY be a good idea!

Inline fuel filter is what I was going to do but sold my 990's for the 1290 & never faced the problem again.

Hmmm sell 990 and buy 1290... not yet I think. Lol I'd love to but I think I have to wait. Until then I will get this sorted. I miss the power :( sniff

Well it's in with the mechanic, think he's trying to find a pump with 4,2 bar and if can't go ktm for the full unit. Hopefully the first option.
