To wheelie or not to wheelie

Post by andywalks50 » Sat Dec 09, 2017 6:57 pm

was chatting with my local dealer the other day who also owns a 2017 SDR, about the value or not of the track & performance modes. He mentioned that his bike has neither mode activated but still pulls decent height wheelies before the anti-wheelie kicks in.

Can anyone confirm this is possible ?? My front wheel seems to stay pretty much earth bound even at an enthusiastic traffic light gp, & I'm sure I feel the anti-wheelie performing !

Mine doesn’t wheely in original trim. If the font wheel is coming up the TC immediately downgrade the power. So no wheelys. Put off TC and it will wheely but you have to know what you do. With track pack you can set up so wheely is possible with the TC on.

I dont think my 2017 wheelies as well as my 2015. The anti wheelie on the 2017 is definately better at its job than the earlier model.

Doesn't the mtc setting affect wheelies? street mode being pretty neutered and sport mode allowing some fun?
