TFT Display Day\Night Lighting Issue

Post by Fry » Sat Aug 26, 2017 10:50 am

Leave it to me to screw up my TFT Lighting when installing a simple Quadloack Phone Mount.

I had to unbolt and unplug the TFT Cluster, as well as unbolt the top Headlight mount to install a Quadlock Phone mount.

Now I haven't had a chance to take the bike out into natural lighting but it seems the Display lighting is staying on the Night\Dark setting, like its reading that its dark out? It has never done this while in my cellar when started or key cycled, its always been on the Daylight setting, only switching when being driven and in low light, dark conditions?

Any suggestions? Where is the Dash'es light sensor? Did I mess up the Dash by unplugging it? Does the headlight contain the TFT Light Sensor?

Thanks.

I think it is in the bottom row warning area where the neutral light is to the RH side.

Take it outside to be sure but this issue has been posted about several times. Not sure if there is a solution/software fix yet but have a wee search to see the other posts.

Thanks.

Will be taking it outside shortly.

The Phone, mounted horizontally sits right at the bottom edge of the TFT screen, almost touching it and minutely obscuring the bottom row of info Like Slip level and all of that jazz, maybe the sensor is being covered?

Thanks.

Non issue, took the bike out the other day and the display is working fine. Guess it was just a lighting issue in my cellar that kept it in Dark Mode.
