PCV O2 dongles with Rotti/Full Akra Evo

Post by dukebadboy » Sat Jul 15, 2017 11:45 pm

I recently installed Rotti intake with Power Commander V. I also have Full Akra evo with SAS removed.

PCV came with 2 dongles for O2 sensors.

So the question, do I need to install those on Full Akra system? As I understand, Full Akra comes with a map that was flashed into ECU. If I install DynoJet O2 dongles will it somehow negatively affect the performance of that map?

I have heard second hand that the dongles dont do anything after the evo remap. i have the evo map and the low speed fueling if perfect. I tried the dongles and smelled fuel for the first time, so i removed them.

You need to use the dongles if you are fitting a pcv. If you don't the bikes ecu will try and alter the fueling that the pcv is trying to control when it reads the o2 sensors. The dongles stops this happening since the sensors are disconnected. If you think the akra map is enough then don't use the pcv.

Well it's getting messy with a combination of Full Akra and PCV.

So, just to be clear, Full Akra comes with its own O2 sensors (front and back). SAS and all the emissions shit is removed.

Now, Rotti intake (where I bought PCV) comes with PCV map *over* Full Akra map. I'm not sure what *over* exactly means, but since intake alters AFR I assume this needs to be accounted by usage of PCV (Akra map alone in ECU won't handle it).

I did install PCV dongles yesterday and has ridden ~600km today. I defo don't smell any fuel and overall, thanks to intake + PCV the bike is much more responsive on below 6k RPM. I feel that it pulls much better.

I'm yet to confirm which map is installed in PCV, but I'm pretty sure it's the one over Full Akra.

The PCV map that Rotti uploaded is SD-1290-2014-IN-EX-PCV. Not sure how you decrypt it. But Akra PCV map is called SD-1290-2015-IN-AKRO-PCV.

So looks like I was riding with a wrong map, although the motorbike felt amazing.Image

I am using the full Akra system except I
Replaced the muffler with a Austin racing muffler.
Also running the Akra map,had a surge at idle
Was advised to use rotty dongles.
Dongles got rid of surge and gained more low
End power !!!!

Doesn't Full Akra come with dongles itself?

Don't need a pcv with the Akra map.
My local KTM dealer said a pcv n Roth air
Filter would only add a couple of hp vs
The cost around 1k installed.
Advices to use rotty dongles to smooth out
Idle.
I am also using a Austin Racing slip on with
The full Akra system.
Sounds badazz and runs Grrrrreat !!!!

Your dealer lied to you.

SDR is day and night with PCV on top of Akra map. Low end is so damn responsive.
